Diabetes is just one of obesity related health problems among children and adults. Obesity also causes other health problems such as hypertension, heart attacks and high cholesterol. In 2004 obesity related deaths ranked number two, smoking came in first. By 2005 obesity related deaths was expected to pass smoking as the number one cause of death, according to Medscape.com.</p>
<p>The idea of an American family and dinner time has changed. Americans lead busy lives, in a typical family home, both parents work a forty hour week, most arriving home late. Most of those families would rather relax than think about making a well balanced meal for everyone. Usually they will grab what it closest or easiest such as a microwave dinner, take out or order a pizza. We all want to spend time with our families and watch our favorite TV program. The last thing anyone wants to think about is cooking after a long day at the office.</p>
<p>Eating out was once thought to be expensive, now because of places like Jack in the Box and McDonalds, it is affordable. You can go to McDonalds and feed a family of four for less than twenty dollars. It is fast, easy, tasty and most of all cheap. To feed a family of four a balanced meal, for example chicken with rice and a vegetable, costs more in both time and money something we are all short on. Fred Meyer, a local grocery store chain in Oregon, usually has pretty good deals, but look at what it costs to feed a family of four. I went to Fred Meyer hoping to spend less than $20.00. Foster Farms offers three chicken breasts in a package for around $9.00, but you would have to buy two in order to feed a family of four. One package of Uncle Ben&#039;s instant wild rice only has two to three servings per container for $2.50 which means again you would have to buy two packages. As for a vegetable, a bag of organic baby carrots cost about $2.00. When it was all said and done, a healthy home cooked dinner for a family of four costs about $25.00. This is not including the time spent making the dinner and doing dishes afterwards.</p>
<p>Lack of health choice at restaurants makes eating right difficult. According to Foodfacts.info, in 2005 fast food chain, Wendy&#039;s, pulled their fruit salad option after only ten months on the menu, sighting low sales. Many fast food chains have started to offer healthier choices such as Subway which offers raisins and yogurt, and Wendy&#039;s offers mandarin orange fruit cups in place of fries. Some sit down restaurants have followed suit such as Red Robin which will allow you to order either a petite hamburger patty or a Boca Burger substitute for any of their burgers. Unfortunately other places do not offer alternatives or the alternatives are not well advertised by the prospective restaurant. Red Robin might offer a Boca patty substitution but it is in fine print which is barley visible at the very bottom of their menu.</p>
<p>Eating out has taken the control over serving sizes away. A burger at Red Robin is normally a one pound patty with unlimited. At McDonalds, a medium fry package now has nutritional facts listed on the side. It shows how many calories are in that amount of fries along with the sodium content. What they are not taking into account is the amount of salt added to the fries after cooking, and the person filling the container usually over fills. Therefore the nutritional facts and serving size information provided is inaccurate.</p>
<p>As adults we need to set a good example for our youths. Children see how much their parents eat and they think this is the right amount of food for them. If you are always taking your children to McDonalds because you simply don&#039;t want to cook all you are doing is setting them up for to then be obese. Gastric bypass surgery is the second only to breast augmentation, as the most common surgery among young adults. The time is now for us to start setting a good example for all people and start making smarter choices of food, make the effort to cook healthy meals, and rethink what a serving size is.</p>

<p>There are a number of ways in which you can approach a 7 day cleansing diet.  First off you can choose to remove all toxins from your body just through drinking filtered water and freshly squeezed fruit juices for the time that the cleansing is going to take place.</p>
<p>The other way to cleanse your body of all toxins is to omit all kinds of meats and processed foods from it and for the 7 days instead eat raw foods only.  This is a very sensible approach to take to cleansing the body of toxins and such a 7 day cleansing diet can prove to be far more effective and also you are giving your body a chance to avoid those foods that are actually harmful to it.</p>
<p>If you are not sure what your 7 day cleansing diet should be and would like to try one then below we offer some ideas which you may find useful.</p>
<p>Idea 1 - Omit all meat, fish and dairy products from your diet for a week.  There are plenty of other foods which are just are tasty and nutritious.  If you feel you need to have something to add substance to your diet you can choose to include tofu instead as an alternative to your meat.</p>
<p>Idea 2 - When cleansing your body for the next 7 days only eat raw fruit and vegetables and ideally organic ones as these are less likely to be covered in chemicals which will prove harmful to your body.  If you want to include fruit juices in your cleansing diet then make sure that you drink freshly squeezed rather than bottled ones.</p>
<p>Idea 3 - If you do need so of your food to be cooked then brown rice is ideal.  This particular food is full of fiber and so will make you feel fuller much more quickly.  Plus as with the fruit and vegetables you are eating try and make sure that the brown rice you use is of the organic variety.</p>
<p>Idea 4 - After you have completed the cleansing diet after one week you should not go back immediately to the way you were eating before you did this diet.  Instead it is far better you gradually start to admit into your diet again cooked foods and allow at least a week further before you start incorporating meats back into your diet fully along with processed foods.</p>
<p>When it comes to a 7 day cleansing diet it is important to remember that things need to be taken slowly so you take care of yourself.  Fasting is not a good idea for cleansing the body of toxins which can prove to be problematic to your health.  Plus if you are someone who suffers from any kind of health problems or is required to take medication speak with your doctor first to see if they feel using any kind of cleansing diet is suitable.</p>

<p>It&#039;s tough growing up with acne.  Even worse, it&#039;s hard to look in the mirror and see ugly blackheads.  After years of having acne, I ended up learning from the top acne experts so that I can deal with this problem that affected my life.  You don&#039;t have to spend a bunch of time doing what I did.  Here are 5 methods that I&#039;ve used for getting rid of blackheads safely:</p>
<p><b>Washing Your Face</b></p>
<p>I understand that this may sound like common sense, but how many people do this when they should?  When I was in high school, we had physical education.  It didn&#039;t really matter if we just came back from running a mile or went through a good workout, the girls didn&#039;t wash up afterwards.  It was kind of hectic getting all prepared for the next class.</p>
<p>My rule is to wash your face in the morning, in the evening, and when you really should do it.  That includes washing your face after exercising.  Pick up a skin cleanser from your local department store that is especially made for morning and night time cleansing.  Some cleansers are so strong that you don&#039;t want to use them so often.  In fact, some can actually dry out your skin and make it harder to remove the blackheads.  Make this a habit and you&#039;ll get rid of blackheads and prevent them from showing up again.</p>
<p><b>Using Olive Oil</b></p>
<p>Some people say that you shouldn&#039;t use anything oily on your skin.  The truth is that your skin produces oil when your body thinks that your skin needs it.  What you want to do is take care of your skin and wash it on a daily basis or when needed.</p>
<p>Olive oil works as a natural moisturizer.  By massaging it on your face, you&#039;ll naturally rub it away.  Since the olive oil works as a lubricant, you can massage your skin vigorously without causing any harm to your skin.</p>
<p><b>Using Biore</b></p>
<p>Biore can be used in more ways that clearing up oil from your skin.  If you&#039;re not familiar with it, it&#039;s simply a piece of paper with a special adhesive.  This adhesive, activated by water, helps pull out dirt and oil from the users face.  However, it has more uses than that.</p>
<p>So how do you use it to remove blackheads?  All you have to do is take a warm, clean, and damp cloth and apply it to the blackhead.  Keep it there for several minutes.   After doing so, apply the Biore strip to the blackhead.  After 10 to 15 minutes, pull on the strip lightly.  The Biore strip should be stuck to the blackhead and giving it a little tug will pull the blackhead away from your skin.</p>
<p><b>Using a Facial Scrub</b></p>
<p>This is a pretty mild, but effective method.  The main thing is to use a facial scrub that exfoliates.  Typicaly this helps remove old skin.  However, it can be effective in removing blackheads as well.  Start out by using a warm towel to help open the pores.  Then use the facial scrub in a circular motion over the blackhead to help loosen it up.  In time, the blackhead will become loose and be lifted away from the skin.</p>
<p><b>Using a Blackhead Removal Tool</b></p>
<p>You can find this tool in many department stores for around $15.  Before using this, make sure that it is clean.  Then use a warm towel or warm steam to open up the pores.  Then use the tool to remove your blackhead.  Make sure that you follow the instructions that are provided.</p>

But if space is at a premium and you will only occasionally sleep on your futon best, than the tri-fold will certainly suffice.</p>
<p>Most futons are either bi-fold or tri-fold, which basically describes the number of flat surfaces that make up the futon. <p>If you were asked why you do not workout on a regular schedule how would you answer them. A lack of exercise equipment would most likely be your number one answer. How much exercising costs may not be your main reason. Are you going to blame your loved one? Chances are he or she would be thrilled if you took off a pound or two. If anything I think most people would blame lack of time as the main reason they do not exercise on a regular basis. Most people simply see exercise as too much trouble. <p>You may not go to the gym because you think you do not have enough time to get a quality burn. If you make the most of your time the truth is you have more than enough.</p>
<p>We exercisers to be often think you need to spend a couple of hours a day, five days a week to achieve anything noticeable. Sure you may have a little amount of time you can spend at the gym but the thought of how little we can achieve stops us from even trying.</p>
<p>When you are told how to build up muscle strength and burn off a good amount of fat in the same hour you probably will greet this thought with mixed reactions. You will either be hopeful or doubt it could possibly do any good and the later is most likely the more common response.</p>
<p>Why is this? Because deep down we think it is impossible. You really do not think you can get an effective workout in such a short amount of time even if we stick to the fastest way to build muscle or not.</p>

As long as we adhere to certain methods, like targeting multiple muscle groups with each exercise and considerably increasing the intensity of our workouts, then results will definitely come. And come fast.</p>
<p>If you are doing things right spending an hour in the gym should be enough. This may even be a little too much because if you are working out at the right intensity it is harder to last longer than that. If you are still going strong after working out for this amount of time you may want to take a look at the way you are working out.</p>
<p>Even better you need to make sure you give your muscles time to recover. A day between exercises is wise which means you get to spend even less time at the gym. Think about it, what is a better program for those of us who do not have a lot of time than one that does not require you to be at the gym every day.</p>
<p>Whether or not we choose to believe it, the fastest way to build muscle has caused us to run out of excuses. We should be glad it did.</p>
